CATCH MEW IN LEAFGREEN!!!

NOTE: This is completely fake and will not work! I posted this to a couple of gaming forums as a response to all the other fake "Get Mew" solutions that were circulating. Do NOT try it! I repeat: IT DOESN'T WORK!!!

Here's how to catch Mew in FireRed/LeafGreen:

1) Go to any store and approach the Questionnaire (it's on the counter south of the guy standing behind it.) Use it to make the following phrase:
INCREDIBLE SURPRISE
APPEARS WHEN I WIN
The man behind the counter will thank you for your feedback, and state that he's taking it into consideration. You can do this whenever you want, but you won't be able to do the next step without Mewtwo and at least one Legendary Dog.

2) Get to the entrance of Cerulean Cave. You'll need to have one of the Legendary Dogs (Suicine, Entei, or Raikou) as your first Pokemon and Mewtwo as your last Pokemon.

3) Go into the cave and battle as normal, EXCEPT that you MUST let all your Pokemon die except the Mewtwo! Trust me, if you use even one heal potion, you'll have to start over.

4) When you only have your Mewtwo left, leave Cerulean Cave (you can use an Escape Rope or DIG to leave, you don't have to work your way back). Use FLY to get to Celadon City. Go to the Game Center and purchase 8,000 Coins.

5) Go next door to the prize exchange. Speak to the middle person. They will offer you a list of Pokemon to purchase with Coins. Below Porygon (6,500 Coins) should be a space that says ??? - 8,000 Coins. Select that, and just as you are about to complete the transaction... TEAM ROCKET BURSTS IN! They will steal the mystery prize and escape to their underground lair next door.

6) Go next door and down the stairs into their secret lair. NOTE: DO NOT REVIVE YOUR POKEMON YET! VERY IMPORTANT!!! It will be different from the last time you saw it, with lots of big square rooms and those lovely Silph Co. teleporters all over the place. Do them in this order: NORTH, WEST, NORTH, SOUTH, SOUTH, EAST. Be careful while battling along the way; remember, you can only have a Mewtwo! Most of the henchmen are armed with the regular assortment of Team Rocket Pokemon (Ekans, Koffing, etc.) all no higher than level 30 so it should be a breeze (equip Mewtwo with an Amulet Coin and make back some of the money you lost buying 8,000 Coins)

7) You will face Giovanni's son Vespucci towards the end. After a short speech about how great he and Team Rocket are, you'll fight him. He's got two Ekans (Lvl. 28 and 33), an Arbok (Lvl. 40), and a Weezing (Lvl. 40). Once you defeat him, you'll be allowed access to Giovanni's antechamber. Inside, you'll see Giovanni being blown from side to side... and in the center of the room will be a Mew! If you approach, it will say at the bottom of the screen "Huh? Mewtwo is growling..." And the screen will flicker just like the beginning of a battle.

8) Now Mew and Mewtwo can battle. However, if you try and use a Revive on any of the other Pokemon in your group, a message comes up and says "MEWTWO smacks the potion away!" He wants to face Mew on his own. You can, however, use Full Restore or any other potions on Mewtwo at this time. Mew is Lvl. 80... Good luck!
